Federico Chiesa is willing to take a pay cut to sign for Barcelona before the summer window closes.
Italian media outlet Ufabet reported on Wednesday that Juventus forward Federico Chiesa is willing to take a pay cut to €4.5m a year in order to sign with Barcelona this summer.
Chiesa is looking for a new club after the 26-year-old fell out of favour under new Juventus boss Thiago Motta, while Juventus are demanding a fee for the player, who has less than 12 months remaining on his contract, to leave before the window closes.
One of the main areas of focus for the Catalans at this point is the signing of a new left winger.
Multiple targets are on the agenda at Can Barça. But with the likes of Nico Williams and Rafael Leao seemingly out of reach, Juventus outcast Federico Chiesa appears to be the best bet, both in the economic and sporting sense.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are looking to reinforce their left wing attack after their attempt to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams failed. So the Catalan giants are looking at other options. And have held talks with Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani over a deal for the Italy winger.
Chiesa currently earns €6m a year at Juventus and is willing to accept a reduced salary of around €4.5m a year with Barcelona on a two- or three-year deal. While the Blaugrana are hoping to pay around €12m. But Juve are demanding €15m, สมัคร ufabet so negotiations are still ongoing.
