Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney hopes Erik ten Hag can weather the difficult time at the club.

    The Netherlands manager is under pressure to lose his job following a disappointing start to the Premier League season.     “He’s won trophies everywhere he’s been and he’s won trophies with Manchester United, yeah, he’s going through a tough time and I think he’s saying that to himself.”

    “But you hope he can turn things around because too often managers lose their jobs and then have to rebuild the team with another manager.”
